Extreme heat, solitude, and wildlife! What’s not to like? Hiking is more than just a healthy outdoor activity. It’s a way of living. To me, hiking is top notch adventure. There are so many awe-inspiring trails in the USA; it’s just a matter of where to go next. I have discovered how much I really like the outdoors, and it all started when I lived in Southern California. I spent as much time as possible hiking.
My first real hiking experience was at Hellhole Canyon Preserve north of San Diego. Well, needless to say, it was trail-love at first step. Since then, I’ve hiked trails in a number of states, primarily in the Southwest. Basically, all I need is a pair of hiking shoes and a gallon of water. In reality, though, I often end up bringing a lot more stuff like photo and video gear. I love to photograph while hiking and can use plenty of time doing that. Being outdoors is my feel-good time.
They fired me for traveling too much, I booked Everest Base Camp Trek the next thing!
